Ubuntu saves the day!

At last I can now repair my Windows but no luck I still have errors regarding the missing/corrupt files. Then suddenly I remember my Ubuntu 8.10 Desktop Edition installer is order from Canonical. So I try to run it without installing it through the Live CD. And I works and I can access the internet. Up to now I’m still using Ubuntu and I’m happy with it. I don’t want to risk my files on my hard disk so I will bring it to a friend who knows what the right thing to do.
