Supernatural Season 4 Episode 2: Are You There God? It’s Me, Dean Winchester (aired September 25, 2008)

The hunters are dying one by one. They are killed by the souls that they have deal or met before but they did not able to save them from the possessions of demons. Bobby was haunted by dead twin girls. Sam and Dean was haunted by Agent Henricksen (from Supernatural: Jus in Bello #3.12), Ronald Meznick (from Supernatural: Nightshifter #2.12) and Meg. After their encounter with the demons they saw some burnt marking on the skin. When they consult it with Bobby, they found out that the markings belong to the Witnesses. And according to Bobby this was a sign of The Apocalypse and it is called the Rising of the Witnesses. Those demons were forced to rise so they must stop it. With the use of the spells they can stop the demons from killing them, But it not turn out that easy. But in the end they able to stop the Witnesses they have encountered. The show doesn’t end without Castiel appearance. Castiel talked to Dean and congratulates on handling the Witnesses. Dean was ripped off because Castiel knew the whole thing but he doesnt help him or give some “angelic assistance“. And he also muttered the supposed to be guardians do. Castiel told Dean to read the Bible so that he understands that the angels are warriors of God. Still he questions the existence of God and Castiel replied “The Lord works…” After the argument on God’s existence they talked about the Rising of the Witnesses. Castiel explains that the Rising is one of the 66 seals, and those seals was broke by Lilith. That’s why angels are here and the Witnesses kills the hunters.And Castiel told him to think of things as lock on a door, and what behind it. It’s Satan, and once the door was open, Lucifer walks on earth. Dean also did not believe in Lucifer, but Castiel told him that “Three days ago you thought theres was no such thing as me and why do you think we’re here walking among you now for the first time in 2000 years?” Dean replied “To stop Lucifer”.And he told him the great job about keeping the Witness, but Castiel lost 6 brother on the field. And Dean thought about do angels die? And he told him that it’s not his job to follow him around. There’s a bigger picture here,” Castiel says. He leans in and says in a gentle, but slightly menacing voice, “You should show me some respect. I dragged you out of Hell. I can throw you back in.” Then he disappeared. Then Dean woke up and thought it was a dream. And he told Sam if he got problem in believing in God and angels. Sam replies no.
